Princess of Glass
Written by Jessica Day George
This was kind of a sequel to Princess of the Midnight Ball. It was about one of the 12 sisters, Poppy. She has to deal with a magical enchantment and help save the day. It was very enjoyable and I didn't want to put it down.

Fablehaven
written by Brandon Mull
Seth and Kendra go their grandparents house and discover that it is a magical creature sanctuary. These books are so fun. They also have study guides at the end that talk about decisions the characters made in the book. We love these books.
Brandon Mull also wrote Candyshop Wars and The Beyonders.

This book is about a boy named Charlie Bone. On his 10th birthday he gets a gift. His gift is that when he looks at pictures he can hear them talking. He goes to a school for talented kids. He meets friends and goes on an adventure with them. I really liked this book. I would recommend that you read all the books. It is a really good series.

Slathbog's Gold
by M.L. Forman
This book is exciting and filled with magical creatures and adventures. This book is about a boy named Alex. He cleans a tavern that his stepdad owns. When he goes on a walk he finds a sign that says Adventurers wanted, Apply within. Then he goes on an adventure. Read this book to find out more. This book was really fun. The sequel to this book is The Horn of Moran and I'm hoping for him to write a third book.

Princess of the Midnight Ball
written by Jessica Day George
review written by mom
This book is a rewrite of the fairy tale The 12 Dancing Princesses. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Even though it was a story I had heard before I enjoyed the way I connected with the character especially the hero of the book.
Jessica studied at BYU and has written several other books including Dragon Slippers and Tuesdays at the Castle. I have read these as well.
